Team successes across the board!
This weekend saw wins for various teams at Newbury & Crookham and the club are enjoying great successes in knockout competitions.
The Men’s & Ladies Mail on Sunday teams both won over the weekend as did the ladies Duncan trophy team. The Duncan Trophy saw the most impressive result with a 5-0 win over Hennerton. Wins for Val Watson, Maureen Fisher, Mandy Burton, Gill Owen & Val Moules saw them progress through to the next round.
The Men’s Mail on Sunday team of Adam Drake, Paul Lamb, James Foster, Leigh Harris & Mark Bradford secured an excellent 3.5 – 1.5 away win at Test Valley. This takes them through to the 4th round, a feat matched by the Ladies team who beat local rivals Donnington Valley by the same score.
The team of Sarah Jolly, Olive Hill, Jill Edwardes, Sue Upton & Alison Blackmore ensured that Newbury & Crookham have now played 7, won 7 in matches across the 3 competitions so far.
