Centenary Salver 2015

One hundred and six players took part in the Centenary Salver at the weekend and the winning score of Joel Martin was a fantastic 42 points. Pete Lewis or 'Natasha' as he is known on the occasional Saturday (i'll let him explain) was runner up with a fine 41 points.

There will be a play off to decide the winner of the ladies Centenary Salver Winner after Amanda Fisher and Louise Wilson both tied on 36 points, in the third place were Linda Hunt and Lorraine Browne who were also tied but one point back on 35 points.

Due to an electrical problem on Friday night that affected the irrigation system, the sprinklers didn't come on at all after being set for a full program. This meant that the greens were much firmer than we would have liked and were quite difficult to hold a ball on.

The rain today was very timely and the engineers will be on site on Wednesday to rectify the problem and get things back to normal again.

Sorry for any inconvenience that this may have caused but we should be back to usual again before the weekend.
