Many of you will have noticed that We had a write up in the Newbury Weekly News this week, for those that used this weeks edition to light the BBQ, please read on....

Fairhurst Cup 2015

The Fairhurst Cup has been played at Newbury & Crookham since 1932 and it has never been won by a Club Captain in office until this weekend.
Club Captain Jimmy Farrell won the closely fought contest by one shot with a fantastic chip and putt from a very awkward position behind the green. His two round total of 143 was good enough to beat Neil Devery (144) by one shot, Devery had led the field after day one with an amazing net 68, the best round of the weekend in blustery conditions and the only score under par all weekend.
Joint 3rd were Wayne Fowler and Allen Evans with their 36 hole total of 146.
