Golf Course open, the use of buggies is fine as long as paths are used wherever possible

President's Day 2016

Club President Keith Lawson ran the very first President’s Day at Newbury & Crookham and picked the best day of the weekend to do so, 136 players played in fantastic sunshine and raised over £1000 that will go towards a project to improve the golf course.

The Men’s competition was won by Past Captain Jim Farrell and Nick Dalton with a fourball better ball score of 48 points, Colin Florence and Derek Bell were runners up on count back with 46 points, Paul Pantanella and Pete Townsley couldn’t be separated from Dan and Keith Talmage by card play-off and finished joint 3rd. The Ladies competition was won by Alison Blackmore and Sheila Hayes with 41 points followed by Linda Hunt and Jo Russ and Sam Whiting and Anita Lockyer on 38 points Linda and Jo finishing second courtesy of their 20 points on the back 9 holes.

 The ladies nearest the pin was won on the 3rd hole by Alison Blackmore who was 6’ 6” from the hole and the Men’s was won on the 6th hole by Graham Purton who was only 10” from the hole.
