On a fine day weather wise 44 pairs entered the Boynton Bogey Salvers on Saturday and enjoyed their golf and in line with tradition introduced by Peter and Betty Boynton some years ago, their Ganton Cake and Stilton after play.
The men’s competition was won by Paul Walden and Kevin Rowe in fine style with a score of 6up. Second place went to Trevor Spires and Colin Florence with a score of 5up and John Martin and Martin McAuley edged out Len Mrowiec with a better back 9 to take third place on 4up (5up on the back 9).
The ladies competition was won with a great score of all square by two very good players, Airlie Dyson and Linda Hunt, second place went to Gill Myers and Jo Russ who finished 1dn and Janice Paulin and Alison Salvadori took third with their score of 2dn.
