The Fairhurst Cup was played out this year in very testing conditions, the greens were quick and the wind was strong making scoring difficult. The testing conditions didn’t seem to bother the leaders however, with some fine scoring on Day 1. Simon Mead lead the field with a fantastic nett 61 off his handicap of 5 with Dan Talmage his closest rival on nett 64 off his handicap of 4. On day 2 the sun came out but the wind increased making scoring even tougher. The players with the best 3 scores on day one remained at the top of the leaderboard, Lewis Woollard finished 3rd with 65+72=137, Dan Talmage was 2nd with 64+72=136 and the winner of the Fairhurst Cup 2020 was 14 year old Simon Mead with 61+68=129.
