The Newbury & Crookham Juniors took part in their Club Championships on Thursday 29th August with 18 juniors taking part.

The A Division event was contested over 36-holes with Simon Mead shooting a very impressive 69 level par gross in the morning round and went on to win the gross event with a combined score of 148 with Rhodri Lewis (154) in 2nd.

The handicap Trophy went was closely contested between 3 juniors with Joe Cowley scoring -4 for 36 holes and just holding on from Teddy Devlin and Simon Mead (-3).

The B Division, which is setup for our younger juniors, produced some very impressive scoring with Alfie Turley scoring 44pts in their stableford 18-hole format holding off late charges from Ben Marshall (39pts), Will Chance & Kayne Vanstone (38pts) who all scored over 20pts on the back 9.

The prestigious and probably most talked about “Neatest Card” title went to Junior captain Jack Graham. Nearest the pin prizes went to Theo Loxton, Kayne Vanstone, Rhodri Lewis, Jack Graham and Teddy Devlin.
