The link above shows the updated day one start times for the Club Championship on Saturday 3rd August.
The Club Championship is a 36 hole event and participation on both days is compulsory upon entry into the competition.
The day two start times will be in reverse score order and tee times will be from 8am until 11.30am. You will have a good idea approximately what time you will start on day two from your day one score but confirmation will be e-mailed out and put on the member area of the website in the news section on Saturday evening at around 7pm.
On day one please sign into the Player Score Input (P.S.I) terminal in the Professional shop, this is when payment for entry to the competition will be taken (£4), you will also have the opportunity to enter the optional sweep (£2) at this stage. There will be a starter on the first tee who will supply you with your scorecard for the competition.
Please enter your score on the P.S.I following your round and hand your scorecard to the Professional who will record your score on the scoreboard.
PLEASE NOTE - DAY TWO START TIMES WILL NOT BE PUBLISHED BEFORE 7PM
On day two please sign into the Player Score Input (P.S.I) terminal in the Professional Shop. There will be a starter on the first tee who will supply you with your scorecard for the competition.
On completion of your round please hand your scorecard to the score recorder in the Newbury & Crookham gazebo that will be positioned to the left hand side of the final green. We hope that as many people as possible will gather around this area and watch the remaining players finish. If you would like to invite your family members to join you they will be very welcome. We would like to create a grandstand finish for those in contention.
The trophies will be presented as soon as possible after play is complete.
In the event of a tie for the scratch championship, there will be a play off over the 1st, 11th, 12th and 13th holes, if scores are still tied then sudden death will decide the champion over holes 1 & 13 continuously until the trophy is won.
In the event of a tie in the Dunn Salvers or the Jack Hughes Seniors’ Memorial Trophy, the winner will be decided on a count back over the last 18/9/6/3/1 holes.
Play well and good luck to all.
