Seniors Open 2017

After a very tight competition Peter Jones of the Downshire GC won the Newbury and Crookham Seniors Open after a countback with 37pts.  Peter also won the Par 3's Challenge Trophy using just 14 shots on the 5 Par 3 holes. The latter competition raised £375 for the West Berks Hospitals "Rosemary Appeal", which sum will be doubled by Greenham Common Trust. Haydn Girvin won the "Roy Bell Cup" for N&C Seniors also with 37pts one point ahead of the N&C Seniors Captain Tod Jones. The Visitors 0-16 hcp competition was won by Bob Radford of Basingstoke GC again with 37pts and the over 16 hcp competition by John Hughes of North Oxford again with 37pts.  The prize for the best over 70's score went to Mike Darnell of the Studley Wood GC with 36pts.
