Newbury & Crookham Pro-Am 2019
Thirty Six teams took part in the Pro-Am yesterday on a lovely day weather wise and a course that was, by all accounts, in fantastic condition.
The scoring was excellent with the leading Professional Chris Rodgers scoring 65 (-4), not bad for somebody who had recently become a father for the first time and was playing having had very little sleep recently. Scott Marshall from The Lambourne Club and Dan Seymour from Donnington Grove were joint second with 67 (-2). Craig Ainsley and Adam Wootton were another shot back on 68 (-1).
The Team event was won by the Asset Optimisation Solutions team of Gary Groves, Jim Wilson and Steve Myers who along with their Professional Chris Rodgers scored -19, second place went, on count back, to Paul Walden, Philip Piper, Harvey Dobson and team professional Kane Gilder with their score of -18. The team with Adam Wootton from Oxford Golf Centre finished third, also on -18. Fourth place went to Joe Simpson from West Berks and the Zero Bend Golf team of Nigel Panting, Chris Covey and Graham Gee, fifth place to Guy Woodman and the Workgaps team of Jon Rhymes, Roger Rhymes and Michael Pearson and sixth place went to Ben Talbot and his team of Amanda Fisher, Marjorie Herring and Laura Foster-Fletcher.
