What a beautiful day!!!!
A huge thank you to Barbara Lamb and her Social Committee for putting on what turned out to be a fantastic afternoon. So many turned out and some new faces too.
The fun competition was played over 9 holes and had such a good turn out we needed to double up on 3 holes.
The idea for the day was for a member to invite a non golfer family/friend to do the putting after they had carefully navigated their way from tee to green.
We must also thank Rebe for her inspirational idea that along with Barbara, she would drive round offering a glass of Pimms to all. Immediately after finishing her Pimms, James’ new wife Leah sunk a putt from a full 30ft away, I know what you are thinking….how did James manage to leave her a 30 footer!!!!
Laughter could be heard from every corner of the course, some loud cheering as putts dropped and there was a joyous atmosphere for the whole afternoon.
The winners on the day were Wayne and his sister Paula…congrats to them both!! Runners up were Hughie and Nevetta followed by Dan Yeo and Karen and Janice and Rose.
Big thanks as always to Alin and Adi and their staff for the magnificent BBQ that followed the golf.
Lastly…thank you to all who played and those who turned up to watch and cheer on the golfers and non golfers!!
