The format for Lady Captain’s Day was one I have not witnessed before so I ‘take my hat off’ to whoever did the scoring!!
The holes were played from 1 to 18 but using the pars of the holes from 18 to 1 which meant the 1st hole was played as a par 5 and the 18th a par 4, the toughest hole of the day was the 13th hole which was played as a par 3. The best two stableford scores on each hole were added up to give a team score.
The winning score was a fantastic 84pts by the team of Karen Smith, Mo Dobson and Jenny Bell, the second placed team of Alison Blackmore, Marjorie Herring and Ann Mrowiec scored 81pts and Linda Hunt Gill Myers and Maureen Barlow were 3rd with 80pts.
