Following Monday’s Management Committee meeting (1st September 25) I am pleased to invite members to a “Town Hall” meeting at the Golf Club on the 13th October starting at 19:00. The Clubhouse working group will provide an update regarding the Clubhouse development project and an outline of issues and timescales for the next phase. There will be an opportunity on the day for members to ask questions. Please contact Chris Barlow for more information.
Course hole index, tee markers and score cards
We have finalised discussions with Golf England and are ready to introduce our revised indexing and score cards. New signage and score cards will in place for the 17th September. Please be sure to pick up your new score cards from the Pro-shop before play.
Intelligent Golf
Contracts have been signed with Intelligent Golf and we are now establishing our Implementation plan with them. This is a major endeavour headed up by Roger Harman and it will take a considerable amount of work to get everything in place. We anticipate a “Go Live” date of 1st January 2026 – Happy New Year!

Membership news
Junior Section
Barry Newman and his team have been working hard to develop programmes for our Junior Section with a result that we have seen a real increase in the number of Junior members. In previous years the Section had a Parent/ Grandparent engaged to help the Professional staff but since Covid this role has been left vacant. We are now looking for a member Parent/Grandparent to take on this important role, if you are interested please contact Sam Spencer-Ades who will be pleased to discuss the role further.
Questions from Members
We have received questions, comments and suggestions from a number of members since the introduction of “Membership News”. We would encourage you to contact the relevant Management Committee member or Les Francis if you have questions or comments. Future issues will contain a section for relevant questions and responses.
