Despite the difficult weather conditions the scoring for the Newbury & Crookham Medal was quite impressive.
The Newbury & Crookham Medal has a maximum handicap limit of 18 and the winning score was Liam Turley’s nett 63 off his handicap of 12. Mark Bradford, Jack Chantrey and Ewan Davies were all two shots further behind on nett 65 with Matt Talmage on his own on nett 66.
Kaleem Qureshi, Jack Chantrey and Liam Turley have all scored well recently in other competitions as well and have received exceptional scoring reductions. Kaleem is now 17 handicap, Jack 11 and Liam 10.
Kaleem recently overcame John Johnstone in their recent play off for the Kirby Cup, well play chaps and congratulations to, in form, Kaleem.

LADIES JULY MEDAL
The Ladies July medal Silver Division was won on count back by Linda Hunt with nett 71 (36 on back 9) from Carol Thorogood with the same score but 38 on the back 9. Ann Hornby was 3rd on countback with nett 72 and 35 on the back 9. The Bronze Division was won by Alison Salvadori with a fantastic nett 67, Kerry Barlow was 3 shots back on nett 70 with Anne Mrowiec taking 3rd place with nett 72.

MIDWEEK STABLEFORD
The Mead family have been playing well recently, this week it was the turn of Andrew to put together a nice score and win the midweek stableford. A fine score of 42pts off his handicap of 5 was good enough to win by two clear points from Matt Talmage with 40pts, third place went to Mark Berry with 39pts.
