The August Medal sponsored by Peter Stirland Ltd, was played over the Bank Holiday weekend in glorious sunshine. The good weather was reflected in some amazing scores. The winner of division 1 with a net score of 67 off his handicap of +1 was Harry Bowness followed by Phil Allen with a 76-8=68.
A fantastic net score of 60 off his handicap of 18 by Ian Alexander made sure of first place in division 2 followed by Dan Bayly with 73-10=63.
Division 3 winner was Len Mrowiec with a 93-19=74 followed by Harvey Dobson with a 95-20=75.

The ladies August stableford Silver division was won by Karen Smith with 38pts, followed by Miwa Beer, Gill Bowness and Maureen Dobson who all scored 36pts. The Bronze division was won with 37pts by Penny Maughan followed by Kerry Barlow with 35pts and Anne Mrowiec with 34pts.
The Midweek stableford was won by Michael Holmes with 36pts followed by Paul Seward and Ken Kenyon with 35pts and 34pts respectively.
