26 Seniors in attendance, including 2 newbies and the comments overall were very positive on the courses and venue, although the tour got off to rather (!) a wet start on day 1.
Overall winner, with 94 points over the 3 days, was our illustrious Club Captain Roger Harman. Considering that he was at the Club all day on the Sunday for Captain’s’ Charity Day, an all-round terrific performance. Second place went to a “newbie”, Bill Fenn with 91 then a countback for 3rd place with Colin Sturgess pipping Keith Watson with 88 points each. The magnificent “Booby” trophy was won by Brian Woodham. The blobs and balls competition were won by Tod Jones with a nearly guess of 472, the biggest total ever! Our thanks go to our “Senior” Seniors for their very generous purchase of the wine on Tuesday night. And as per normal huge thanks to Roger for his spreadsheets (albeit with a few Glitches on Day 3!)
The Snakes (and Dinosaurs) competition contributed £115 to the Seniors Captain’s charity- he sends his thanks!
Thanks to Dave Catt from all in the Seniors Section for organising this trip and all preceding trips for, at least, the last seven years! News of next years trip to be advised.
