Exactly 100 players took part on Sunday morning for the 2018 Christmas Winter Competition. Many thanks to John Martin and Phil Allen for your support and help once again with the reception desk. Thanks also to John Thorogood for your help on the day, particularly for the ball spotting on the 2nd. After receiving a barrage of abuse from my playing partners for hitting my opening tee shot into the trees on the right hand side of the 1st it was a great relief seeing you standing in the middle of the 2nd fairway ready to spot my ball.
The fantastic prize table was put together by the artistic skills of Amanda and Linda and a shopping trip to M&S. Prizes went all the way down to 8th place, not nearly far enough for Barry and I to have been rewarded for our efforts.
