The Kirby Cup could not be settled on the day and will need an 18 hole play off to decide the champion. Out of 133 players only 16 players had a nett score of par or better but the lowest scores of the day came from Kaleem Qureshi and John Johnstone who both scored net 62. John off a handicap of 18 and Kaleem of his handicap of 25. Two fine scores of net 64 followed from Len Mrowiec and Roger Williams off their handicaps of 19 and 6 respectively and in 5th place was promising junior Boyd Price who at the age of 12 years old scored a net 65 off his handicap of 19.

The course analysis makes interesting reading with the hardest hole being the 8th and the easiest being the 2nd. The most birdies were scored on the 2nd hole with one eagle, well done Mark Bradford. Only one hole remained birdie free all day which was the 14th.
