I have served on the Management Committee for the past 3 years and have been a committee member on the Finance Committee and had responsibility for Health and Safety.

I would like to stand for re-election for a further 3 years and would be happy to continue with my current roles.

Statement from David Ashworth

I believe that I can bring many of the skills and attributes I have acquired over a long professional career as a business advisor to the benefit of the club. I have recently retired from my role as Partner at KPMG and will therefore have time to focus on the role. In my career I was responsible for managing a large number of staff and dealing with demanding clients so have developed coaching, listening and project management skills. I am hard working and driven with an attention to detail. I address and solve problems by bringing together different views and perspectives. I have been a member of the club for a number of years and have recently joined the senior section. My son is also a member so I have insight into the thoughts and requirements of younger members who are so important to the future of the club.
