Although very cold on the day the February Winter Competition went very smoothly.
My sincere thanks to Gill and Steve Myers, John Martin and Ian Campbell whose help my family were very grateful for. Contrary to popular belief I didn’t swerve the competition due to the complicated nature of the format, having said that the format didn’t seem to fool anyone.
Congratulations to the winners Mark Berry and Alec MacIndoe whose 25pts on the back nine meant their score of 42 points edged Hugh Turley and Nick Vanstone into 2nd place.
I should also thank Matt Selby who stepped in as a last minute replacement and played extremely well impressing his playing partners with some outstanding golf.
