DAVID HARRIS MEDAL
David Harris Professional’s Medal took place on 6th September, this competition was renamed a few years ago to mark the 30 years of service that the Club Professional, David Harris had given to the Club. Three players tied for the lead on net 63 and could only be separated on countback, Paul Lamb came out on top with the better back 9 of net 31 followed by Ryan Wilson with his net 32 and Graham Hives with his net 36. Andy de Burton was fourth with his net 65 then John Martin, Dan Bayly and Sam Skerratt followed, all with net 66’s. Congratulation’s to Paul who’s superb nett 63 was a gross one over par 70 off his handicap of 7.

NEWBURY & CROOKHAM BOGEY
The Newbury & Crookham Bogey took place in the sunshine this weekend and some of the scores match the scorching hot weather. The competition was played in the Bogey format where competitors play match play against the par of the course, Kaleem Qureshi finished on the fantastic score of 8up followed by Tim Wehrle 6up and David Tidmarsh 4up. Well done to Kaleem who is having a good season.

GRANDMOTHERS SALVER
The Grandmothers Salver 3-way play off between Anne Hornby, Val Watson and Gill Myers took place on Monday. The 18 hole medal resulted in Gill Myers securing the Salver with a net 76.
LADIES SEPTEMBER STABLEFORD
The Ladies September Stableford ‘Silver Division’ was won with and excellent 39pts by Val Watson, Irene Witts was 2nd with 36pts followed by Carol Thorogood with 36pts. The ‘Bronze Division’ was won by Laura Foster-Fletcher 32pts followed on 31 pts by Sheila Hayes, Janice Paulin and Judith Birch in 2nd, 3rd & 4th, Sheila’s 16pts on the back 9, Janice’s 15 and Judith’s 13 setting out the placings.

19+ AUTUMN STABLEFORD
The 19+ Autumn Stableford Qualifier was won by Brian Woodham with a fine 42pts, four points clear of 2nd place Roger George with 38pts, Graham Gregory was 3rd with 37pts.

The Midweek Stableford on 8th September was won by Andrew Mead with 39pts followed by David Glasspool and Colin Florence with 38pts each.
